Maribel Andrade, LLMSW
Maribel is a Bilingual & Bicultural clinician. She is the daughter of immigrant parents and the first generation to be born in the United States in her family. Her parents migrated within the US for work and was born in California and raised between Texas and Michigan. She has worked in social work for 8 years serving vulnerable populations including refugee/immigrant families and children in foster care as newcomers. She has experience working with clients struggling with substance use disorders/co-occurring and works with both adults and adolescents. Additionally, she is experienced working with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and domestic violence.
Maribel enjoys working with clients to explore new ways to seek and reconstruct their identity to better support their well-being, and finding meaning to their purpose in life. She guides clients in examining relationships to find healing and identify change in hopes of making those steps toward better satisfaction. She comes alongside clients who experience generational trauma due to cultural differences to find understanding and acceptance within themselves.
Maribel holds a Master's of Social Work and is Limited Licensed in the State of Michigan. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and DBT-informed techniques as her evidence-based approaches to invite change.
