Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist

Position Overview:
We are seeking licensed therapists (fully licensed or limited) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Our work environment is a fun therapeutic atmosphere where kids and parents feel seen and heard. Our team utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities for an explorative approach towards healing. Therapists who work at Leadlight Counseling’s Cascade office have the opportunity to receive supervision, consultation, and training in a number of expressive treatment modalities for children, including play therapy. This is the ideal opportunity to expand your clinical skills with children in a vibrant and supportive practice. We currently have a need for therapists to work with children of all ages however, special consideration will be made for candidates who have a passion for working with children ages 3 to 12 years old.
Qualifications:
Masters or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
Current full or limited licensure as a therapist (LPC, LMSW, PsyD) in the state of Michigan
Demonstrated experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and/or families
Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices for children and adolescents (candidates with experience utilizing play therapy, sandtray, or art interventions are strongly encouraged to apply)
Utilize age-appropriate techniques to engage clients and address their specific concerns
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborate with caregivers, school personnel, and medical professionals as needed for continuity of care
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Commitment to ongoing professional development and cultural competence
