Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist

Position Overview:

We are seeking licensed therapists (fully licensed or limited) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Our work environment is a fun therapeutic atmosphere where kids and parents feel seen and heard. Our team utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities for an explorative approach towards healing. Therapists who work at Leadlight Counseling’s Cascade office have the opportunity to receive supervision, consultation, and training in a number of expressive treatment modalities for children, including play therapy. This is the ideal opportunity to expand your clinical skills with children in a vibrant and supportive practice. We currently have a need for therapists to work with children of all ages however, special consideration will be made for candidates who have a passion for working with children ages 3 to 12 years old. 

Qualifications:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field

  • Current full or limited licensure as a therapist (LPC, LMSW, PsyD) in the state of Michigan

  • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and/or families

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices for children and adolescents (candidates with experience utilizing play therapy, sandtray, or art interventions are strongly encouraged to apply)

  • Utilize age-appropriate techniques to engage clients and address their specific concerns

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Collaborate with caregivers, school personnel, and medical professionals as needed for continuity of care

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and cultural competence
